Role: External Sales Key Account Manager, Timber
Location: Liverpool
Sector: Timber Merchants - Builders Merchants - Construction Sales
Package: GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 DOE + Bonus + Car + Benefits
We seek an External Timber Key Account Manager , who will be based at one of our branches across the North-West, depending on practicalities of travel from home. We supply a range of timber and construction materials to the construction sector, and are a well-established, household name within the industry.
As such we require an experienced External Key Account Manager to work within the Timber sector and drive sales.
As a Key Account Manager, you will have previous knowledge of the builders' merchant sector, preferably within a sales-based role. A minimum of 5 years' experience, specifically within the timber trade is essential.
All other systems knowledge and experience within other sectors of the builders' merchant trade, is advantageous, but non-essential, as full training will be provided if necessary.
The External Key Account Manager will have a tried and tested method to find leads for new accounts, as well as be the focal point for all incoming inquiries for any existing accounts within the Timber sales sector of the business.
The incoming External Key Account Manager will have a pro-active approach, as well as a personable demeaner and drive for sales.

Business focusedKey Responsibilities for an Internal Sales role:
Reactive and proactive telephone sales from existing customers within the sector
Raising quotations and securing orders
Liaising with buying groups in the timber sector to encourage spend
Setting up new customer accounts as/when appropriate
Maintaining legacy client accounts via inbound inquiries
Be the focal point for all things timber related
Motivate a small team of sales consultants to maximise sales and profit margin
Assisting with creation of price lists and sending price lists to allocated customers
Key Skills:
Customer service experience
IT proficient (MS office)
