Job Purpose

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Role Overview

Salary: Up to GBP28K-GBP30K inc. shift allowance

Full-time Permanent 2-shift rota Early & Twilight Shifts

Early: Monday to Thursday 06:00 AM to 14:15 PM & Friday 06:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Twilight: Monday to Thursday 14:00 PM to 22:30 PM & Friday 12:15 PM to 17:45 PM

Key Responsibilities

Electro-mechanical repair of equipment and facilities, this will include working in a workshop, moldshop and clean room environment
Input to and implementation of the Preventative Maintenance Plan to ensure the safe running of equipment on site
Liaising with outside contractors for installation, repair, and modification of equipment
Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies
Clear and concise reporting of all maintenance work carried, faults found, modifications, etc. within the Maintenance Management System
Ensure all work is carried out to an agreed upon specification to ensure the high quality of products required for the medical industry
Set up and changeover of equipment to meet the production schedule
Promote and practice safe working practices
Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties within areas of work
To work with minimal supervision to achieve tasks at a high standard

Skills & Experience

Analytic mindset coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude Self-driven individual with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
Previous experience within a maintenance role is essential
Multiskilled maintenance experience would be desirable
Previous work within the medical/pharmacy/FMCG would be beneficial
Previous work within a clean room environment would be beneficial

Qualifications

Have a time served apprenticeship or equivalent certificate/diploma in a mechanical engineering discipline
Hold a relevant certificate in the use of machining i.e. Milling, Turning or equivalent experience
Previous experience in the fault finding and repair of machinery
Electrical knowledge would be advantageous
