Job Purpose
Set machines as and when required, to enable mouldings to be produced to the correct standards. Ensure Health & Safety at work requirements are met.
Role Overview
Salary: Up to 28K (including shift allowance) depending on experience
Full-time Permanent 2-shift rota Early & Twilight Shifts
Early: Monday to Thursday 06:00 AM to 14:15 PM & Friday 06:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Twilight: Monday to Thursday 14:00 PM to 22:30 PM & Friday 12:15 PM to 17:45 PM
Key Responsibilities
Set injection moulding machines to standards as laid down in the machine manuals per specifications
Carrying out tool changes and setting of machines as required
Maintenance tasks and troubleshooting as and when required (if authorised) on any equipment in the moulding shop within the limits of training competence
Conduct Tool Trials working with NPD or Maintenance Depts
Ensure mouldings are correctly documented during manufacture and when production is completed
Assist with forward workload planning and if necessary, carry out load planning
Liaise with other departments as required
Additional Responsibilities
Operate injection moulding machines when not involved in any of the above
Assist in the manufacture of devices as and when required
Carry out any other reasonable task as and when required.
Provide cover for the shift supervisor during holiday and/or absence periods supported by the HR and Dept head.
Assist in the training and development of others
Complete training and development as required to achieve and maintain CPD as required by the company for the post held
Participate in continuous improvement processes
Maintain GMP practices
Essential
Good level of Tool Setting and process optimization knowledge
Good understanding of mould tool construction
Strong Communications skills and ability to communicate at all levels
Experience of a wide variety of injection moulding machines
Self-motivated with the ability to cope with change within a busy production environment
Flexible and adaptable team player
Desirable
Relevant Qualification
Accredited qualifications in tool setting and process optimization
Access to own transport
