THE COMPANY
Our client, an established Cannock based business require a Turret Punch Setter/Operator for a permanent contract. It is essential you have relevant experience in a similar role.
THE ROLE
The Turret Punch Setter/Operator duties include Setting/Operating Trumpf and Pullmax Punch machines, tool management, making sure tools are regularly maintained to a satisfactory standard using our Quick Sharp machine, dies set at correct height etc, general maintenance of the machines, quality control - inspecting parts for clean edges, lack of burr etc, selecting correct tooling for each job, ensuring exemplary housekeeping standards to both machines and work area. Workflow - to make sure the section is working efficiently and at an optimum rate and liaising with the design/programming team. Regular overtime available on weekdays and weekends.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience of setting and operating either Trumpf or Pullmax Punch machines, programming experience with Radan or Tru Tops would be preferential but not essential (Training could be given to the right person), a Counterbalance FLT licence, to be able to read production drawings and have an understanding of sheet metal fabrication, good problem solving skills, takes pride in their work, organised, punctual and reliable.

The company offer excellent working conditions with onsite parking. Working hours are 8.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 4.30pm on Fridays with overtime available. Please state salary expectations on application
