The Electronics Group (EGL) is the largest independent IPC and Electronics training company in the UK. We train professionals from all walks of the electronics and manufacturing industry from Operators and Quality Inspectors to In-House Trainers, and Rework Specialists to Design Engineers. EGL works with some of the most globally recognised electronics companies in Defence, Military, Aerospace, OEM, Automotive, Manufacturing and everything in between.

To complement our training services, we offer our customers a range of electronics rework and technical inspection services, such as BGA rework and x-ray inspection.

Our Trainers are responsible for delivering IPC accredited training, as well as our own bespoke skills-based electronics courses. Predominantly delivering both online and classroom classes from our new Leeds training facility, with occasional travel to client sites throughout the UK including overnight stays.

We pride ourselves on offering the best training to industry professionals, as well as those looking to enter the world of electronics. We will provide any necessary training and develop the successful candidate to the position of Master IPC Trainer.

IPC Trainer Requirements:

Strong experience of electronics PCBs and PCBAs

Hands on experience of soldering PTH and SMT devices

Knowledge of IPC

Ideally hold one or more IPC Certification (desirable but not essential)

An understanding of electronics manufacturing processes

Excellent communication skills

Experience of delivering high quality training is desirable, but not essential

Good IT skills

IPC Trainer Responsibilities:

Train and provide support to delegates and clients

Setup and administer training courses

Management of equipment and materials required for the delivery of the courses

Train and educate in ESD control and material handling procedures, promoting a safe working environment

Maintain all records of training

Manage and collate course feedback

Responsible for maintaining the high quality of training expected from the Electronics Group

Assist with customer workshop jobs inc. rework and x-ray
