Building Surveyor is Required to work for a niche independent consultancy based in Exeter offering Project and Cost Management, Building Surveying Services and Principal Designer Services/CDMadvice. They are a construction consultancy with a reputation for providing a personal, comprehensive service focused solely on the clients needs and focused on delivering a high-quality personalised service by drawing on a wealth of experience and maintaining strong local business relationships.
The workload is mostly new build industrial on commercial business parks and within the contract value range of GBP2-8m. They also undertake a wide range of education, healthcare, and refurbishments within a range of GBP250k-GBP5m and have a track record of managing projects up to GBP30m.
This will be a unique role for a talented individual to work for a progressive company that offers high quality services to a client base consisting of European and regional property development companies, Local Authorities, the blue light Sector, further education colleges, special schools, a multi-academy school trust and other end user clients such as blue-chip manufacturing companies that all continue to support with their repeat business.
Building Surveyor Main Duties.
The successful candidates will be expected to manage projects from start to completion and specifically to work autonomously from planning consent stage to deliver the contracts through RIBA stage 4, on site and to handover.

- Undertaking on-site property surveys
- Producing detailed reports and recommendations
- Identifying defects and advising on remedial works
- Offering advice on proposed alterations, improvements, and extensions
- Preparing budgets and schedules
- Advising on environmental and safety issues
- Meeting with clients and contractors to oversee progress
- Offering advice in relation to legal and planning issues
- Working on-site and in an office.
Building Surveyor Requirements for the role
- Minimum of bachelor s degree or approved professional qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of Building Surveying experience.
- PQE or currently working through the APC.

- Salary Depends on experience but, above market remuneration for exceptional candidates
