As a Service Charge Accountant (Client Accountant) you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and records to our customers.
This will include:
Prepare client accounts in accordance with current legislation and industry body requirements.
Deliver year end accounts to residents in a timely fashion
Carry out the necessary transactions to ensure a smooth accounting process for accounts
Resolve issues on accounts and ensure a quality service is provided to customers/clients
Investigate previous Managing Agents financial transactions and challenge mismanagement of funds when appropriate.
Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and our clients
Conducting Year-End procedures - preparing clients year-end paperwork including - Preparing trial balance reports, Preparing Year-End Income & Expenditure reports.
What skills, knowledge or experience will you have?
You are a currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting environment and are looking for the next step in your career.
You will use your strong communication skills to see and challenge information, ensuring a smooth accounting process for your team.
You are customer focused and thrive in working collaboratively and in a fast paced environment.
Microsoft Excel in particular at intermediate level, alongside Microsoft Word
High attention to detail with the ability to see and challenge information
Curious nature with the ability to analyse and investigate accounting anomalies
Strong communication skills, able to liaise with non-financial internal and external Customers
Self-motivated and organised, able to prioritise own workload
A team player, demonstrates working towards a common goal
Strong customer focus, understanding both internal and external stakeholders
