B2 Lead Instrumentation Engineer Profile
As a Lead Instrumentation Engineer in our Engineering Trials Delivery Unit, you will have the opportunity to drive the sensor application and data acquisition solutions to meet the customer's requirements for a diverse array of engineering trials. You will be expected to manage the related technical activities from novel concept to installation and testing. This role is ideally suited for a dynamic individual, with an attention to detail, and extensive experience in using data capture hardware and software.
Location - Reading area
Package - GBP33,850 - GBP47,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

The idea candidate for this role will have considerable knowledge of environmental test equipment electronics or electrical test equipment, with the proven ability to fault-find and problem solve being essential. You will be expected to have management and leadership experience, be comfortable disseminating your knowledge to the less experienced members of the team and a range of trial stakeholders. Additionally, you will be expected to undertake routine calibration, receipt, inspection of equipment, and maintenance activities to support operational trials.
What will you be responsible for?

Providing trial instrumentation expertise to customers, to meet their technical requirements
-
Managing communication with trial stakeholders and organising or supervising junior colleagues
-
Designing, building, installing and testing of novel trial instrumentation systems
-
Reporting on your projects
-
Maintaining high levels of housekeeping within the Calibration Laboratory and Electrical Workshop environment

Leading fault finding, problem solving, repair and maintenance of existing systems

Working alongside team members on electrical hardware on a variety of voltage systems

Undertaking work in compliance with company processes, standards, and procedures

You may be required to carry out safety related roles

Committed to continuous professional development, you will be qualified to HND level (or equivalent) in a related technical subject, professionally registered at (or working towards) IEng
