Permanent
Salary: Up to GBP35000 per annum (depending on Experience)
Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri)
Package: 25 days (+Bank Holidays) and other enhanced benefits
The Company: We are currently working with our client, a leading global manufacturing business, to support them in their search for a Materials Controller to join their Supply Chain team. The Materials Controller will be responsible for scheduling all the raw materials into site and ensuring there is sufficient product to meet customer demand.
The Materials Controller will be responsible for:
Working closely with the production planning / warehouse and production departments to determine materials are scheduled effectively
Ensuring that raw material schedules are communicated to suppliers and that orders are placed in an effective manner
Ensure internal stock availability and manage any amendments to the schedules and forecasts
Communicate and work closely with suppliers to manage and stock risks and monitor lead times and volumes ensuring minimal disruption to production
The Person:
Previous experience in Materials Control / Materials Planner / Production planning / Supply Chain Planning type positions within the Automotive manufacturing sector will be ESSENTIAL
Experience and knowledge of working with MRP systems
Excellent understanding of supply chain principles relating to material flow
Good working knowledge of MS Excel
