We are currently seeking a talented and ambitious Commercial Sales Manager/ Media Account Director to join our exciting and dynamic team.
This is a senior management position and you will be expected to work across a variety of digital media advertising platforms and event projects.
This is a home based role 5 days a week, you'll only be required for meetings and attending events.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Management
Recruitment, training, work-plan and appraisal processes for new team members.
Ensure team members are effectively fulfilling the objectives of their roles. Respond to daily queries/issues from external marketing agencies, partners, sponsors and other departments.
Assisting senior management with driving the business forward and communicating messages effectively to the rest of the business.
Commercial and sales business development.
Formulate sales strategy with the Brand Director/ CEO
Identify, drive and manage lead/sales generation for all divisions of the company. Including new revenue generation channels.
Plan and manage sales pipeline and sales processes for the team and yourself.
Set team and individual KPI s, sales targets and goals with the Brand Director.
Manage and implement sales team appraisals, development and coaching.
Lead, manage and motivate the existing team.
Personally generate 35% of the overall total sales and manage existing national accounts.
Produce sales reports and forecasts as required.
Train and retain sales team with ongoing training and development.
Marketing
Create, manage and promote all brands under the CEMG umbrella.
Assist in creating innovative sales & marketing plans utilising direct mail, Internet, e-mail, social media, digital, offline, lead generation.
Effectively communicate brand messages throughout all marketing materials including reviewing, writing copy for sales brochures and promotional materials.
Plan and manage sales & marketing budgets.
Maintain, build relationships with partners to promote each brand and grow engagement.
Oversee, track and measure PR activity - both online and offline.
Identify and utilise cross and portfolio marketing opportunities and techniques.
Communicate and negotiate effectively with external suppliers to negotiate favourable rates, whilst maintaining quality and tight deadlines.
Monitor all sales & marketing responses and complete ongoing marketing analysis - during and after for all activities.
Occasionally required to fulfill aspects of the Marketing Executive role; including partner liaison, data export and administrative duties.
Who are we looking for?
A sales & marketing professional with at least 3 years experience within a B2B publishing, digital sales, conference/events environment.
A proactive, energetic and positive individual with the ability to motivate, develop a new team.
Strong knowledge and understanding of publishing, digital sales, conference and exhibition products, markets and brands.
Ability to oversee effective campaign execution and advise the business on the best practices to drive return on marketing investment.
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and have the drive and confidence to get things done under the pressure of tight deadlines.
Good time management - capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good combination of creative and analytical skills
