Automation Service Engineer

An Automation Service Engineer position has just become available within a leading engineering company, who specialise in the design and implementation of Automotive systems. They are looking to expand their team due to rapid growth. Their services have been successfully utilised across various key industries for in excess of 25 years. They're looking for the right professional who possesses a 'can-do' attitude and enjoys getting 'stuck in', within their day to day. This client is more focused on practical / commercial experience rather than education.

I am keen to speak to candidates that have any of the following experience:

• Supervisory and liaising experience.
• Hands-on backgrounds with commissioning and installation.
• Over 18 months experience working within a similar automation role.
• Have prior experience with full Automotive life cycles and/or working on shift.
• Experience with programming PLCs, SCADA/HMIs, variable speed drives, communications networks.

Some of the duties of an Automation Service Engineer will be:

• On call 1 week and out 4.
• Provision of scheduled maintenance.
• On site commissioning and installation.
• Customer service and maintenance visits.
• Inspection, testing and certification of control panels (including FAT where required).
• Assisting the tendering team with the preparation of quotations, estimations, tenders, etc..
• Assistance throughout the design life cycle - FDS, design, test, FAT, commissioning, SAT, etc..
