JOB TITLE: Digital Marketing Manager

BASE: Head Office, Knowsley

DEPARTMENT: Income and Engagement: Marketing and Communications

REPORTING TO: Head of Marketing and Communications

Overall purpose of the role:

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead on the development and implementation of the charity s digital marketing strategy. Delivering an innovative and forward-thinking approach, ensuring the charity achieves its ambitions to follow a digital first mindset, overseeing the development, delivery, and optimisation of digital media within our communication schedule, to drive engagement and performance.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy, including social media advertising, email marketing, display ads, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Pay Per Click (PPC)
  • Oversee all NWAA s social media accounts and various digital marketing channels
  • Manage the content that the charity posts, ensuring this is aligned with the communication schedule
  • Responsible for delivering a large volume of marketing and communications to support NWAA objectives, including significant income targets
  • Develop accurate reports and insights that seek to improve channel effectiveness and provide feedback to stakeholders across the charity
  • Support with the planning and execution of test and learn initiatives that seek to maximise marketing spend ROI and identify opportunities for growth
  • Collaborating with teams across NWAA (Fundraising, Volunteering, Retail) as well as external agencies to drive performance and apply latest customer insights
  • Working closely with internal teams to evaluate end-to-end online customer journeys and put forward practical ideas on how to improve user experience
  • Continually improve and develop the design, UX, traffic, and content of the NWAA website
  • Work closely with internal teams to create engaging email campaigns
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging throughout all platforms
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, technology and best practices
  • Train key staff within the organisation on digital marketing as required - in particular with upskilling the marketing and communications team.

Qualifications

  • BA in Marketing, Digital technologies, or similar relevant field
  • GCSEs in Maths and English grade C or above

Experience

  • Experience as a Digital Marketing Manager
  • Experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies
  • Hands-on experience with SEO, Google Analytics and CRM software
  • Experience of working in the charity sector

Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of all different digital marketing channels
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices
  • Google Analytics (including Goal, Event & eCommerce tracking)
  • Ability to deliver results driven PPC campaigns and remarketing activity
  • Proficient in photo and video editing software such as Adobe
  • Deep knowledge of web design principles
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to identify long term trends in data
  • Great communication skills
  • Experience working with a content management system
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good copywriting and proofreading skills and attention to detail
