Our client is one of the UK s leading food brands. The food industry is very fast paced, demanding, and constantly developing, therefore the people the company looks to join them have a great personality and the drive to exceed the customers expectations.
A new vacancy has arisen to join the company s busy team, the role available is a Production Manager and is situated in Central Scotland - a more specific location is available on the application. The Chilled Coding Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire Chilled Coding Process. They will also aid the Factory Manager and other Production Managers with the running of the factory.
The Role:
Oversee the entire chilled coding process.
Ensure all customer orders are coded correctly and dispatched on time.
Accurately log any issues with chilled coding such as receiving late orders, any machine breakdowns and any inaccuracies with orders.
Have a full understanding of the requirements of the chilled coding paperwork.
Identify ways in which any unmet chilled coding targets can be achieved.
Accurately monitor the working hours of all chilled coding members of staff.
Oversee production and ensure production targets are met.
Identify ways in which any unmet production targets can be achieved.
Monitor product standards and having a sound knowledge of the quality control programmes implemented.
Liaise and co-operate with the technical and commercial teams to ensure that customers are supplied with food products which are safe to eat and that the quality complies with the customer specifications.
The Candidate:
Previous experience working in a production manager role or experience managing staff is essential.
Previous experience of working in the food industry is preferred.
Knowledge of food legislation standards.
Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
