Technical Solutions Officer

Our client, experts in the industry of designing and manufacturing within the electrical industry are currently hiring to appoint an officer to join their Technical department. The purpose of the role is to create product solutions from initial concept designs to customer application. You will be responsible for the supply and implementation of technical information to internal and external customers which assists with the growth of the business.

This role offers a hybrid-working pattern once you have settled into the role and learnt how the business operates.

Roles & Responsibilities

• As a key technical point of contact, you will handle bespoke customer projects and product taking a lead point coordinating with internal departments seeing them through to completion.

• You will create bespoke concept design solutions using new or existing product.

• Utilising 2D & 3D software platforms to concept new solutions providing quality visual aids.

• Assisting the product rollout and handover process, creating technical documentation which enables product implementation.

• Project lead and connect internal or external stakeholders on related orders.

• Build units where required for investigative, testing or training purposes.

• Provide quick, clear, and concise technical support.

• Utilise and apply knowledge of safety standards that apply to their products, e.g. BS5733, UL962A.

• Demonstrate good use of electrical theory effectively.

• Carrying out investigations producing detailed technical reports to assist in resolving issues found.

Skills & Experience

• Basic electrical knowledge or electrical background.

• Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor or Solid works.

• Good IT skills and proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel.

• Educated to a level of NVQ, OND, HND (or equivalent).

• Previous experience in project management.

• Previous electrical experience.

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight schedules.

• Strong organisational and administration skills.
