Digital/Electrical Design Engineer

Working in Portsmouth a Digital/Electrical Design Engineer is required on a 12-month contract basis to work for a major defence client.

Hourly Rate: Negotiable

Please note this is a technical role relating to the Digital aspects of hardware design.

Overview

• Detailed digital circuit design including component selection, evaluation, simulation, schematic capture, and preparing guidance for PCB design teams.
• Design verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, and test techniques
• Generate design documentation and technical reports.
• Adherence to Engineering Lifecycle and contributing to progress, peer, and design reviews.
• Assist in the development of higher-level system designs as necessary

Skills

• A degree in Electronic Engineering and ideally worked in the Defence industry.
• It's essential to have experience in generating component-level PCB designs and experience in board-level digital design.
• Experience in design proving, integration, and defect resolution.
• Experience in gathering evidence to support acceptance, fitness for purpose, legislative requirements, and safety.
• Knowledge/experience of DSP techniques and experience in digital interface techniques is highly advantageous.
