Job Title: Systems Engineer- Software
Salary: GBP35,000- GBP45,000 per annum dependent on experience
Location: Frimley, Weymouth, Filton, Brough, Broad Oak or Barrow in Furness
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Systems Engineer- Software. This role can be based at any of the following sites: Frimley, Weymouth, Filton, Brough, Broad Oak or Barrow in Furness. There is also the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working arrangements.

Within the Systems Engineering team, this role sits within a supported and adaptable environment and will provide you with the opportunity to work within a programme with longevity of contract and programme security. You will be supporting the Combat Systems Software Manager in controlling the build and licencing for the Combat Systems Software.
Main Responsibilities:
Advising technical authorities on interpretation and acceptance of software deliverables ensuring delivered solutions meet the specified contractual and regulatory requirements
Being the interface to subcontractors on interpretation and acceptance of software requirements
Interfacing with the customer on interpretation and acceptance of software requirements
Monitoring combat system software build and software factory output
Contributing to the development and adjustment of software management strategies, policies, guidance and awareness

About You:
Essential:
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
Knowledge/experience Systems Engineering lifecycle
Role requires strong cross-domain communication, diplomacy with good interpersonal skills
Desirable:
Experience of requirements management (DOORS or similar)
Knowledge/experience of Software development including SQA, and baseline management
You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
