The Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an established Facilities Manager to join an established and nationally recognised Manufacturer who a market leader in their specialist field.

It would be ideal if you are Electrically Mechanical biased as the site has 2x apprenticeships running that you would oversee and assist on completing their training.

As you will be managing on site facilities and the engineering teams this is a very niche role.

Working at their large Bradford site, this hands-on position represents an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that is looking to expand their Facilities function as well as offering exceptional development opportunities.

Involved in a varied portfolio of projects and contracts, my client is looking for a Facilities & Contracts Manager to maintain and improve standards in a fast-growing business that holds strong integral values. Reporting directly into the Operations Manager, working closely with the H&S Manager and managing the Engineering Team Leader.

This role can be a superb opportunity for the right autonomous person to work within a successful and friendly business and have the opportunity to oversee a variety of diverse contracts across this large Bradford location and manage the Engineering teams.

You would have a multi-service facilities management experience as well as managed an engineering team, excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, strong customer focus and a good understanding of manufacturing environment as well as good commercial sense. You would look after a great team delivering engineering support, catering, cleaning, grounds, security and hard services.

About the job:

  • Implement Maintenance & Asset Improvement Programme and develop strategy for the department
  • Implement and develop Planned Preventative Maintenance programme to ensure reliable plant as cost effectively as possible
  • Ensure best value for money obtained for equipment and services and maintain costs with departmental budgets
  • Efficiently manage breakdowns to minimise production losses and deal with emergency situations quickly and effectively
  • Work with other team members to fully understand the workflow of production through the warehouse and how the various control systems contribute to the process
  • Coach and mentor Apprentices through to completion and ensure full succession plan in place for team.
  • Responsible for managing the portfolio for compliance in accordance with current legislation
  • Responsible for managing asbestos across the portfolio in accordance with current legislation
  • Embrace new technologies and new ways of working to maximise benefit to the business in financial terms, monitoring and reliability
  • Utilise sub metering to increase accountability of departments and monitor usage to show progress in energy reduction. Produce monthly reports for accountability
