We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team in the UK. You will be part of a fast-paced small team, reporting to the head of the department, and given the responsibility of managing, developing and enhancing our SaaS and bespoke web applications working across both front and back-end disciplines. About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
At least 5 years of experience in full stack development
Essential Tech stack:
JavaScript & TypeScript
NodeJS
Vue.js, or other modern framework
TypeORM/KnexJS or similar libraries
HTML
CSS/SASS/SCSS
PostgreSQL
Advanced knowledge of web architecture principles
REST API Design, Development, and management
Advanced knowledge of web services and database management
AWS Experience
Web Security fundamentals and authorization
Git & Version control
Experience with tooling (Webpack, npm scripts, etc)
Experience with testing (Mocha, Jest, etc)
Kotlin/Java
Nice to haves:
Education (Bachelor's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or related degree or at least 5 years of equivalent relevant experience)
Design principles - UI/UX, responsive design
Nest.js
Working in an Agile environment (Jira/Trello)
Python
Shell scripting (Bash/Zsh/Fish)

Good mentoring ability to assist other members of the team with technical issues
Experience in the health care sector preferred, but not essential.
What will you be doing in this role?
Owning the development and maintenance of key platforms, proactively identifying areas where the offering can be improved or enhanced
Providing support and mentorship to junior members of the team to support on platform development, maintenance and enhancements
Running code reviews with junior members of the team, to assist with learning and to ensure code quality is always maintained to a high standard
Managing internal relationships with other developer functions
Assisting to scope out new projects, giving accurate and manageable time estimates for proposals
Product you will be developing
You will be responsible for maintaining, updating and enhancing a couple of SaaS platforms that help with our client s internal management of key resources, as well as providing support on other bespoke projects that may come into the team.
About the Team
The Digital Solutions team is small and will consist of 2 other developers (one senior developer and one developer) in addition to the candidate for this role, as well as a Director to oversee direction of the team. The team are currently all remote working and based in the UK. The Digital Solutions team is part of a wider group of specialist consultancy teams working with Pharmaceutical and Med Tech clients, and work with those functions to deliver solutions to our client.
Hours of Work
Permanent position, 37.5 hours a week, remote working
