You will be a room leader in a close-knit private Day Nursery where the manager values work life balance, giving you the flexibility to book shifts around other commitments. The setting is open from 6.30 - 5pm daily for 51 weeks of the year and you will be working 8-hour shifts. With 48 children in total, the Nursery cares for children of NHS workers on the grounds of a local hospital. The parents are your colleagues and have mutual respect for the important role you are doing.Your team is encouraging, and so are the leaders in the setting. Many staff began their journey here as apprentices and professional development is readily available and provided. As room leader, you will be supported by an additional staff Lead, whose purpose is to champion room leaders in their role. Due to their commitment to employees, the nursery has a very low staff turnover. This is an independent day nursery that is not part of a big chain, you are more than a number, and this is evident in how long staff stay at the setting.To be successful in the role, the manager expects you to have high standards in your practice, Knowledge of Early Years policies and procedures and experience in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage for children from birth to five. The Nursery is based in Slough, and they are recruiting a permanent Room leader for the baby room (0-2) for September 2022.
