Responsible To : Machine Shop Team Leader
Main duties and responsibilites:
Set machines as requested and ensure that cycle times achieve the quality and output standards required.
Check all first offs from machines and verify accuracy of machine setting.
Recognise, identify and rectify or report all quality defects and failures to achieve the required standards.
Ensure tools are maintained in good condition and recognise, rectify or report all tooling problems.
Responsible for the operators understanding of quality, output and safety.
Recognise and report exceptional requirements or shortfalls for parts and components.
Train and develop new team members to the standard required as requested.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment, be responsible for good housekeeping and ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.
Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement.

Setting speed and accuracy.
Product quality.
Tool management.
