Water is essential to life, so our business is always open.What you ll be doingWe are looking for a Revenue Assurance Associate to support the data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting processes that ensure over GBP400m of our revenues are appropriately calculated and settled. Forming part of the Wholesale Revenue and Settlement team, you will support with identifying issues and ensure they are all tracked and managed, advising on their impact and resolution using a combination of business and data analysis skills
- Assisting in the data analysis required for modeling, interpretation, and forecasting of operational data for the team
- Supporting in the impact analysis of ongoing operational data and other issues to ascertain impact on wholesale revenues
- Responsible for managing the receipt and analysis of settlement data from the market operator
- Supporting any assessment of the received settlement file records for any systematic or local errors that could be impacting our revenue
- Carrying out settlement validation and reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate revenue monitoring
- We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is great with numbers and is willing to learn, develop and get stuck in
- The ability to build advanced Excel reports and utilise large datasets is necessary as well as experience in generating and communicating insight to others using data
- Good communication and presentational skills are a must: you will be comfortable explaining your analysis to peers and the leadership team
- Basic knowledge of SQL is expected as all Settlement data is held in an SQL data warehouse.
- Knowledge of reporting and visualisation tools such as PowerBI is desirable
