The Role - Deputy Manager
Our client is a family run, domiciliary care provider based in Ipswich, Suffolk. We are a small but passionate office team, looking for a Deputy Manager to join us and become an integral part of our clients ever growing team.
Key Requirements:
Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
License or certification: Driving License (Required), NVQ L5 or working towards it.
Proven experience in the domiciliary care industry
Proficient IT Skills including: Rota planning systems, Outlook, Word, Excel
Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
Good communicator with a confident and friendly telephone manner
Pleasant individual, that is easily adaptable and has a flexible attitude towards work
Ability to problem solve and seek the best possible solutions even when under stress; ensuring you remain polite and respectful to colleagues and clients at all times
Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as on their own
Highly organised person able to multitask and perform well in a busy work environment
Main duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the care assistants team whilst providing them with the necessary leadership and motivation to deliver their best possible work to clients
Responsible for keeping all care assistant files and client records up to date on a daily basis and as legally required
Ensuring the rota for all care visits and working patterns are coordinated in the most efficient manner to cater to the needs of the customer, company and care assistants
Daily liaising with all care staff, existing and prospective clients and various health professionals, to ensure the smooth running of our clients services and provide Safeguarding whenever necessary
Take pride in representing our client in a professional manner at all times and support the Registered Care Manager whenever needed to ensure compliance with the CQC and the Local Authority Quality Assurance Team
Allocating calls and duties to the Care Assistants, ensuring their skills and expertise matches the needs of the client and work rotas are distributed accordingly on a weekly basis
Expected to lead and participate in the Out of Hours On Call rota duty ensuring all issues are dealt with effectively
Visit clients as needed and write Care Plans or make reviews to existing Care Plans, examine the written MAR charts and daily log notes kept by the Care Assistants
Responsible for the organisation and participation of all team meetings, staff supervisions and spot-checks on a bi-monthly basis
Assist with recruitment and company induction for all new members of staff entering into the caring role, as needed
Assist with marketing and business development as needed
Assist with identification of further business opportunities outside of the current client base
Undertake additional activities such as attending conferences and involvements in projects and events that further the organisation development as required
To adhere to all of our clients Policies and Procedures at all times
