Devon Wildlife Trust (DWT) is Devon s leading wildlife conservation charity, with over 37,000 members, over 300 active volunteers, 100 staff and 60 nature reserves. We are one of the larger locally based organisations that collectively make up The Wildlife Trusts. DWT has pioneered the reintroduction of beavers in England and the restoration of internationally rare habitats like Culm Grassland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic nature champion, who combines creativity and strong writing and digital skills with a highly organised approach to their work. The successful candidate will join DWT s Communications team, providing engaging content for our website, e-newsletters and social media channels and general support for Trust marketing and communications activities. You would be responsible for keeping our website up to date, creating content, including video, for social media posts, delivering online events, co-ordinating responses to enquiries including press and supporting volunteers to respond to enquiries through our help desk.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar communications role (via work or volunteering experience) and demonstrable ability to create engaging content. They will be happy working in an environment that often requires quick responses and changing priorities. They will be passionate about Devon s wildlife and will be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 12 months contractually based at Cricklepit Mill.
