Position: European Road Freight Forwarder
Location: Fareham
Salary GBP25,000 + GBP27,000 annual bonus
Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 17:30pm
Holiday: 25 days + BH
Our client are a leading global provider of transportation & freight services: less-than-truckload, truck brokerage, last mile logistics, inter-modal, drayage, ground and air expedite, global forwarding and managed transportation.
To coincide with growth plans for 2022 and beyond, we're currently recruiting for a European Freight Forwarder to join our team based out of Fareham. You'll be responsible for coordinating transport operations, including road freight, for a variety of customers utilising our own fleet and partners. The team work across Monday to Friday, core working hours.
Pay, benefits and more:
We're looking to offer a salary of up to GBP25,000 per annum. Annual bonus of GBP3200, paid monthly. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day:
Be responsible for accurately loading customer loads and orders onto the system
Build and maintain relationships with sub contractors and European partners
Ensure customer accounts are maintained as per SOP's
Generating customer invoices and initiating supplier invoices
What you need to succeed:
Previous logistics or freight forwarding experience
Being bilingual (particularly Eastern European languages) is desirable
You'll have had exposure to dealing with customers and be customer services focused
Be able to communicate at all levels and work on your own initiative
