SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a Teaching Assistant who would like to with SEN? I am currently recruiting bank staff to work in mainstream, SEN schools, PRU's and Alternative Provisions across Leicestershire. This is an ideal opportunity for people who are looking to gain further experience working with pupils with additional needs or support challenging behaviour. The roles can be ad hoc day to day, short and long term so you can work across several schools and longer term work can be available to those who get on well. For several years now, I have built up an excellent relationship with a number of schools across the region. I have placed many candidates in these schools, some of whom have had the opportunity to become a permanent staff at the schools. As these roles involve working with pupils who are not able to access education in mainstream schools, the behaviour can be difficult, so we do look for candidates who have strong personalities, be able to work through issues the pupils display and be able to stand up to the physical demands of the work. As a SEN TA you would be treated as one of the team and they would expect the following: Support classes as directed Be able to build positive relationships Be flexible Experience with challenging behaviour Follow the policies of the school including behaviour Show initiative Take an active role within class Work collaboratively with other members of staff This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in positive environments where you will have the chance to build upon or gain experience.
