Line Supervisor

XS Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Powder Coating Supervisor , to work alongside the Production Manager at our Engineering client based in Oldham.

Salary range : GBP28,000 to GBP32,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 1330 to 2300

45 hours per week

Contract: Temp to perm after 12 weeks probation period

Duties:
Supervise the Powder Coating department on site
Lead and motive a small team of 15
Monitor and manage housekeeping throughout the site
Drive health & safety / culture change throughout the site
Organise materials for works
Attend production meetings as and when required
Monitor and manage productivity and individual performance
Record hourly production counts and report back to the Production Manager
Identify training needs and arrange suitable and appropriate training.
Time & Attendance - Absence & Sickness monitoring
Be involved in recruitment / Interview potential production candidates
Return to work interviews
Disciplinary investigations
Monitor and control holiday entitlement and applications
Control and update the company skills training matrix
Liaise with the management team as and when required
Run the welding and fabrication shops in the Production Managers absence
