We have an exciting opportunity for a HR professional to join one of our largest clients as a HR Generalist! This role is working within a unionised environment so we are looking for a confident individual who ideally has unions experiences and can manage the end-to-end process. There will be some travel to other sites, which are in Wales and Ireland.
Your new role
You will join a team of c20 people who cover HR, and you will report into a generalist HR BP. The HR function also includes sperate talent, L&D, and comp/bens teams.
You will support the full range of HR activities and work with the senior management team to ensure that the EMEA strategies are implemented throughout the organisation. You will also help ensure that all key HR processes are implemented effectively and have the chance to work on the implementation of wider HR projects.
Help create effective HR solutions in line with business needs. Support Senior Management with HR Activities
Champion and conduct competency-based interviews ensuring vacancies are filled with the right quality of candidates in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Work with the management team to ensure that the Organisation Capability and Talent Review process is implemented.
Cultivate positive Employee Relations with business-like communications with recognized unions and employee representatives where appropriate and help to resolve disputes or grievances using agreed policies and procedures.
Work with senior managers to build alignment with engagement strategies and plans at a local level and assess the potential impact of changes.
Work with managers to identify a top-level training plan in conjunction with national initiatives and ensure the timely completion of Employee Dialogues covering all employees.
Ensure reporting for payroll, HR KPIs, Sustainability and other HR requirements are completed on time and to the correct standards and that these are reviewed with the Managing Director and senior management team on a monthly basis and implement resulting action plans.
What you'll need to succeed
Professional HR qualification (CIPD equivalent)
Able to build the relationship between management teams and employees
Demonstrate the ability to nurture individual and Company capability and knowledge through employee development initiatives
Prior experience in workforce planning
Ability to deliver programmes that reward and recognise employees' key capabilities, skills, behaviours, experience and performance
