HR Manager Required

Your Responsibilities

Work with Central Team to create an agreed recruitment plan/process for the Trust Central Team roles including the development of appropriate adverts, job descriptions, supporting materials ensuring any adverts have maximum exposure to candidates and planning the interview process. This also extends to the recruitment process for Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers
Design and write a job evaluation process which can be applied to all new roles
Design an online recruitment system, for all Central team appointments, place and manage approved vacancies and liaise with agreed employment agencies where appropriate
Ensure that the correct information is gathered prior to interview and managers have what they need on the day to complete the process
Ensure that we gather ID, and other relevant employment information to make the offer process compliant - liaise with the Trust's Director of Safeguarding
Attend and support the interview process with Managers as required
Once an offer of employment is made, compete the necessary checks and onboarding process
Complete DBS checks as required
Ensure new starters receive their offer packs and relevant information about the role on time and that any gaps that may delay a start date are flagged
Oversee the management of the staff files and ensure compliance
Review and redesign the central team new starter induction process to take account of the challenges faced by the ever-changing work force, including how we reach staff that are remote in schools or working from home
Ensure that new starter planning can provide staff with the information, equipment and training they need to go live and to be safe in the workplace
Development of a standard comms process for new starters in the Central Team
Development of a new Central team staff handbook
Responsible for the monitoring of new starter mandatory training, working with in conjunction with the GDPR, Safeguarding, Health and Safety Managers

Your Skills and Experience

Minimum of GCSE in English, Maths and Science
CIPD qualification desirable
Driving licence desirable as travel to Trust schools will be required but ability and willingness to travel can be considered
Experience of a range of HR activities preferably within the Education sector
Good breadth and depth of experience in learning & development, recruitment, talent management functional/business/sector knowledge and experience
Strong communication skills both verbally and in written form
The ability to develop positive working relationships with a range of different customer groups as well as external suppliers Numeracy skills are important as is the ability to proactively problem solve
Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to manage and plan complex pieces of work independently and be able to multitask
Working under pressure and working fast but accurately.
