In this role you will be expected to maintain the smooth running of production, ensuring the movement of stock into and out of the Site 1, Site 2 and Post Moulding stores is carried out effectively and efficiently by the material handlers.
About the Role
Conform to the stock control system for all stock required for production / assembly in Sites 1, 2 & Post Mouldings.
Fulfil manufacturing material request through issuing of stock held in drop zones / racking or requisition of stock from the distribution centre.
Ensure distribution centre receives the material required sheet in a timely manner.
Support and assist the Material Controllers and deal with any issues.
Ensure that there is no excess stock held within all Sites 1, 2 & Post Moulding.
Ensure stock accuracy with a view to move away from full quarterly stock takes.
Ensure Shunters provide a fluent movement of all goods between all Sites.
Manage team members to avoid production delays.
Resolve any issues that are reported by the material handlers.
Be able to perform multiple tasks and duties in line with increased operational flexibility.
Assisting with the training and development of team members.
Proactively share knowledge and experience with fellow workers to enable tasks to be carried out the required standard.
Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained.
Be involved in aspects of employment relations including recruitment and disciplinary procedures.
Identify training requirements and carry out training as required, ensuring that accurate training records are maintained.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience of working in a warehouse environment.
FLT Counter Balance and Reach Licence.
Planning and organising skills to effectively manage the flow of stock.
Be able to demonstrate good computer literacy.
Have good numeric and analytical skills.
Highly motivated, progressive, responsible and reliable.
Be able to adapt quickly to a changing working environment.
Good communication skills and able to work with people at all levels.
Understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
