Our client is a well-established organisation with a national reputation based in Reading, seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their new UK Buying team. If a career in buying is what you're looking for, this UK Buying Admin Assistant position is an ideal first step onto the Buying pathway.
The successful candidate will aid the UK Buying team with the Dropship & Stock side of the business covering the day to day administrative duties and must be a good all-rounder.
About the role: Key areas of responsibility:
Liaising with suppliers on a daily basis
Checking deliveries with the warehouse and resolving any issues
Managing the raising of POs, ensuring we remain in stock
Updating Dropship stock availability on the site
Being the main point of contact for training on the DS Portal
Communicating with Customer Services with any out of stock or supplier queries
Completing system data uploads for any new ranges
Looking at opportunities to develop the product range by taking part in competitor shopping, analysing trends, and researching new suppliers.
Maintaining Data in the inhouse database (SAP/Magento/Kilo)
Misc. order-related admin
Working closely with the Merchandising team on stock requests, deliveries, and price changes/enquiries.
Managing the new supplier process for onboarding new suppliers
Key experience you ll have:
Have worked in an office administration environment
Be able to demonstrate accurate written and verbal skills with a methodical approach
Highly organised and able to deal with competing priorities.
Intermediate excel skills
Ability to prioritise workload and see your projects through to fruition
Data entry

Enjoy working independently as well as part of the team
Have a great sense of humour
Keen eye for detail
Is organised and able to handle and interpret large amounts of information and work to set deadlines
Strong communicator
Good friendly telephone manner
