Are you a recent sixth form or college leaver looking for a role to kick start a career in engineer?
Role Description:
Expleo have an exciting opportunity for CAD Technicians. Based in Expleo offices, you will be assigned to a major new defence project, where your skills will be developed within mechanical engineering and 2D CAD draughting.
You will be rotated between work streams on approximately a six monthly basis to develop your engineering skills, such that after 2 years you will be ready to board to Senior Technician, with potential opportunities for sponsorship for further education within engineering to enable progress to Engineer for the right candidates.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities within your role will include (but not limited to):-
Interfacing with UK based Team to understand technical issues / specifications and requirements
Producing manufacturing drawings and releasing data following specific processes
Producing quality while keeping within project budgets & time constraints and potentially changing requirements
Apply correct processes, specifications procedures & techniques working with support from specialist teams
Areas for rotation are:
Publishing
Draughting
Engineering Change
Integration
Tech Admin
Sought after Qualifications / Skills
Mathematics / Physics / Computer Science / Engineering / Technology / IT
Microsoft Office Skills.
Producing 2D drawings beneficial but not essential.
Working knowledge of CAD beneficial but not essential.
