Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Due to the continued growth & expansion companywide, our client is looking to strengthen their manufacture process team with a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at their state of the art facility in Livingston.
What s required from you;
This is a very varied role where you will be working on specific processes but may be needed to be reactive and provide expertise where required.
Working within a manufacturing environment you will report directly to the production engineering section manager.
Brief description of duties:
-Support production in achieving schedules to cost and quality requirements
-Ongoing support and review of production areas operations aligned with efficiency improvement. TS reductions, scrap and downtime reductions
-Jig and Fixture design and sourcing
-Assist in the introduction and implementation of new products
-Assist with Production/ Quality problems and breakdowns to identify short/ long-term solutions
-Assist in the setting, implementation and control of the capital investment budget
-To lead, manage and progress capital projects from justification to completion
Additionally, we re looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in similar role (preferably in manufacturing) and a degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or relevant Engineering Management Qualification.
What we would like to see demonstrated as skills and experience;
• Productivity and efficiency improvements
• TS reduction leading to a cost reduction
• Reduction in scrap reduced
• Reduction in Maintenance downtime
• Reduction in quality defects
• Layout review and planning
• Evaluating anticipated capacity limitations to identify equipment requirements
• Put forward proposals for inclusion in Investment Budget
This is a day shift position - Monday to Thursday 7am - 4pm & 7am - 12pm on Friday (39 hrs week) - Full time, Permanent.
