EY44 Deputy Project Engineer (Asset Management)Location: AvonmouthSalary: GBP30,000 per yearOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Deputy Project Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.Suitable candidates would be a relatively new Engineering Graduate looking for a first or second role out of university or potentially an experienced technician who decided that they didn t want to be on the tools and preferred more on an office-based role.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake all available Ultimo Enterprise Asset System Management Training to become an expert, providing Port-wide day-to-day help desk services (including capturing and seeking approvals for Port-wide new User Requests).
- Maintain and configuration control Port-wide Ultimo How-to guidance documents and training material.
- Conduct routine Ultimo Port-wide data hygiene / error checks, as well as generating Ultimo KPI reports.
- Support interrogation of Ultimo Port-wide data to provide key business information / intelligence outputs.
- Conduct or support technical investigations as directed, conducting root cause analysis, and providing recommendations.
- Update Port Equipment maintenance schedules in Ultimo.
- Update port equipment operating and maintenance manuals, including technical drawings where required.
- Configuration control of the machine document set file structure and contents (certification, inspection reports, site photos, design modifications, risk assessments, extraordinary events / incidents, and major works).
- Provide port equipment support recommendations to the Project Engineer (Asset Management).
- Participate in continuous improvement activity to improve Engineering Department productivity (i.e. support workshops to define trade boundaries, refine maintenance procedures, investigate new engineering tools and techniques, etc.).
- Undertake special projects as required.
- Deputising for the Project Engineer (Asset Management) as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Desirable: Degree qualified, or equivalent demonstrable experience, in an engineering discipline.
- Member of an Engineering Council accredited institute or be actively working towards membership.
- A good level of computer literacy (including Microsoft products) with ability to manipulate and interrogate datasets.
- Recording accurate, complete data and information to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (including an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels in the organisation).
- Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Good understanding of Engineering Management Systems and Processes.
- Practical project work and engineering experience.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
