A rare opportunity has become available for an IT Operations Manager based out of our client's offices in Newmarket. The main purpose of this role is to ensure effective and consistent operational network infrastructure and systems. With a number of direct reports, you will be expected to manage service levels, project delivery and team performance. Managing cyber security policies and procedures is also a key part of this role.

Responsibilities but not limited to

Responsible for end-user device management and security
Ensure effective backup, disaster recovery and security operations
Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
Assess system performance and recommend improvements
Manage the IT help desk and support services to meet agreed service levels for each business unit.
Ensure that all software is implemented in compliance to license requirements
Responsible for ensuring that adequate IT support is available to all business units and that service levels are agreed upon, monitored, and met for systems and support.
Responsible for the management and development of IT staff and teams.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory frameworks and requirements, including licensing
Ensure appropriate disaster recovery plans are in place for the hosted applications throughout the organisation and are regularly tested and fit for purpose
Establish effective working relationships and monitor the performance of external partners to ensure delivery of the highest standard of service
As a senior leadership member, contribute to developing the overall technology strategy and budgetary process.

The successful candidate will need to have proven experience as an IT Operations Manager with excellent technical skills. Covering technologies and best practise in IT infrastructure, networking, and security.

You will also need to be able to demonstrate experience with systems installation, configuration, analysis, and problem resolution.

It is essential that you have a BSc/BA in Computer Science IT or a relevant field.
