Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Salary: GBP23,000 per year

Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm

The Role

This a fantastic opportunity for a Forklift Driver based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm.

We are seeking a fully trained warehouse operative that would be responsible for all Ashby Back Office Stock Control inclusive of forklift driving and operating the reach truck. Other responsibilities will include:

Management and recording of all stock on site, recording of all stock as it arrives and leaves the warehouse using the Stock Management System in an accurate and appropriate way.

Ensuring that the appropriate stock is securely packaged, put in storage, picked accurately, delivered to the production teams and loaded onto vehicles in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with agreed procedures.

Ensure that fork lift and reach trucks are operated and maintained to defined safety standards

The role requires previous experience of counterbalance forklift truck driving and a valid licence is required. While proven experience of driving a reach forklift truck is preferred, full training can be provided on the job.

Essential Experience

Counterbalance forklift experience and licence
Experience in a stock control environment
Experience of using appropriate product movement tracking paper systems
Experience of working in a warehouse/fulfilment environment preferred
Desirable Experience
Experience of computerised stock control systems
Proven experience of using basic machinery preferred but not essential
Experience of driving a reach forklift truck
Experience with double deep racking and on board camera.
Skills and Personal attributes

Ability to lift weights of up to 11kg regularly throughout the shift
Understanding of stock taking processes and principles
Understanding of client needs and ability to work under pressure to meet productivity targets and deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Attention to detail, enquiring and logical
Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
