Architectural Technician
Contract Scotland are working in close partnership with one of Scotland's leading privately-owned Residential Developers. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a tight-knit team where each team member's contribution is genuinely valued.
Working as part of their technical team, the main purpose of the role is to support the successful award of planning consents for new building developments in Scotland.
You will be working in a busy, fast-moving environment with a range of technical challenges arising daily. Responsibilities will vary widely and requires a dynamic individual capable of adapting to new challenges as they arise.
Liaison with external consultants and other stakeholders to deliver the projects in line with the project program.
Review drawings/schedules produced by design partners
Review design costs and contribute to value engineering as required.
Ensure that the approvals, Planning, Building Warrant, RCC etc meet the current project plan.
Produce technical documentation
Liaise closely with site teams during construction phase to resolve technical issues satisfactorily
To apply you should be;
Educated to a minimum of HND level in Architectural Technology
Have several years of experience working in a development department or private practice involved in residential schemes
Proficient in AutoCAD
Capable of producing good quality written communication
