Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Fitter) Opportunity
Salary GBP27k Telford
Our client are a privately owned commercial magazine and catalogue printer with over 30 years experience offering solutions for all aspects of the catalogue, magazine and brochure printing process - from design through to mailing and dispatch.
As part of an exciting period of growth, improvement and business development we are currently seeking a conscientious, hardworking and flexible Mechanical Maintenance Technician to assist with the maintenance and asset care of our operation ensuring all of our equipment and machinery is safe and fit for purpose.Working on your own initiative you will mechanically fault find, diagnose, and repair equipment using appropriate test equipment and tools.
Duties include;
conducting all planned preventative maintenance
implementing and developing new processes to resolve maintenance faults
repeat issues and inefficiencies in a continuous improvement environment
using a CMMS system for the maintenance of stock levels and work orders.Requirements
excellent communication skills
a very health and safety conscious individual
previously worked as a mechanical maintenance fitter in a fast-moving production environment
ideally be qualified to HNC Engineering or higher, although not essential
good working knowledge of fault-finding using machine documentation is essential.Our client offers attractive terms including a salary of GBP27,010.41 Occupational sick pay, 6.6 weeks annual leave a modern, dynamic working environment with free parking and excellent facilities and access to NVQ programmes.
This is on a day shift operating Monday to Friday
7.5 hours per day (start time to be agreed) with 30 minutes lunch
