Due to an increased workload, this successful engineering company in Stroud is currently seeking a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer to join their team.
You will be required to set up and operate a number of multitask CNC machines to perform a wide range of turning and milling operations on various complex component parts.
All applicants must be able to set and operate the machine tool and measure their own work.
Additionally, knowledge of Fanuc OT and Mazatrol programming is favourable.
You will work from set up sheets as well as verbal and written instructions. You will be responsible for setting up tooling in the machine and installing programs into the CNC machines.
You will be expected to machine parts to tight tolerances, so experience of this would be very useful.
You will also inspect finished parts for proper dimensions and document your results.
You will undertake troubleshooting exercises and make adjustments to offset coordinates, tooling or machine centre conditions.
Working hours:
This is a double day shift role.
Week 1: Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm, Friday 6am - 12 midday (30 minute lunch break)
Week 2: Monday - Thursday 2pm - 12 midnight, Friday 2pm - 11pm (30 minute lunch break).
