RSD Recruitment are working with an established plant hire business to recruit for a workshop plant fitter in their Newbury depot!

The successful candidate will provide maintenance support for the business within the workshop, conducting maintenance activities under the direction of the depot foreman including preparing plant and machinery for hire or resale, conducting pre delivery and post delivery inspections whilst adhering to healtgh and safety regulations.

Those who have experience in the maintenance and repair of small tools, generators, groundcare machinery, agricultural machinery and motor vehicles will all be considered for the position!

Candidates who have a good undestanding into the repair and maintenance of plant machinery including diggers, dozers, dumpers etc and have come from another hire background will be eligible for higher rate of pay within given salary bracket.

Qualifications, Training and Experience:

• Level 3 Construction Plant maintenance or associated vocational qualification or experience

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience to prepare equipment for hire and to conduct

  repairs to machines and equipment

• Manual handling

• Working at Height (Preferred)

• Forklift operation (Preferred)

• Safe lifting (Preferred)

• Banksman (Preferred)

• Driving Licence

Monday - Friday (42.5 hours per week)
