Internal Auditor
Location: Oxfordshire, with flexibility to travel across the whole Trust
Salary: GBP35,000 per annum
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
The Orders of St John Care Trust is one of the largest not for profit care provider in the UK specialising in providing high quality, person centred care for older people, in care homes and extra care housing. As a charity we ensure that any revenue goes straight back into our homes meaning our residents and staff are well looked after.
Our office-based support teams are every bit as important to the smooth running of our organisation, and therefore the well-being of our residents, as the teams based in our homes and extra care housing schemes. We have four regional offices, one each in Lincolnshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and Oxfordshire, offering opportunities in a number of different business areas.
We are now recruiting an Internal Auditor to join our audit team in Oxfordshire.
Would you like to audit in a varied, diverse and dynamic environment where no two assignments are the same? We are looking for a forward-thinking, motivated self-starter to join the team at The Orders of St John Care Trust. This vacancy provides excellent opportunities for an Internal Auditor to enhance their personal and professional knowledge and to progress internally and externally.
We provide independent assurance to the Finance & IT Director, the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee, and to senior management on governance, risk management and internal control systems across the Trust. This role will provide you with deep insight into the diverse operations of a large charitable trust.
You will be responsible for planning audit and assurance assignments, working with key stakeholders to understand organisational objectives and risks, develop audit scopes, design testing strategies and determine reporting outputs.
You will be required to interact with staff at all levels of the Trust and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of partners is key.
You will have:
Professional Qualification eg CIA, IAP
Experience of analysing and interpreting complex data and evaluating facts from data, using Excel, data analytics software or CAATs (we use IDEA Data Analytics software).
