Warehouse and Operations Assistant
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse and Operations Assistant who will ensure the smooth running of multiple areas of the business including Commercial, Distribution, Estate and H&S.
Commercial
Stock control. All goods in and out, maintain stock levels, raise stock purchase orders with suppliers, liaise with the sales office and sales team to ensure sufficient and appropriate stocks are held.
Stock identification, all stock products to be held in the appropriate labeled location in the warehouse, and in the bin location on Sage.
Liaise with the manufacturers on any stock discrepancies and damages, with a plan of the necessary action to rectify with each set of circumstances.
Goods returns, where applicable goods that need to be returned are done in a timely fashion with the appropriate manufacturer.
Regular and rotational stock checks.
Ensure stock rotation is always undertaken.
Advise of any products taken out of stock for business use, masks, tape, overalls, and such like. (stock adjustment book)
Communication with the sales office always, to ensure good levels of customer service are maintained.
Advise of any cost price differences and liaise with the supplier, sales office and finance.
Ensure all packaging, tins, boxes, shrink wrap, labels, and any other materials to be stocked and kept at suitable levels.
Distribution
Ensure all products are packaged in accordance with the company requirements.
Organise all Fedex or alternative carriers to ensure delivery of all products.
Collate and create effective delivery routes for our own vehicles, ensure vehicles are loaded in a safe and proper manner, strapped, and secured where necessary.
Estate
The Estate is defined as the building and all the surrounding land inside and outside of the boundaries.
To undertake and raise and maintain the standards of the building and the surrounding land.
Liaise with all tradesmen as required, obtain quotations for each task, for all larger projects.
Maintain and ensure all servicing is undertaken for all plant, machinery, and vehicles, in accordance with the manufacturers warranty and service intervals, where spares and repairs are required, ensure the work to be carried out is of a cost effect solution.
Maintain all service records for, plant, machinery, vehicles, alarms, and fire extinguishers.
Health & Safety
Ensure the fire alarms and fire extinguishers are all maintained in accordance with the required standard.
Health and safety, undertake H&S audits for estate and warehouse, and all production areas.
Health and safety - ensure good level of health and safety requirements are undertaken and always observed.
In accordance with the H&S audit structure, progress and complete in a timely fashion.
