When you join our team, you will become involved in supporting or delivering some of the biggest and most complex machinery installation and relocation projects in the world. Our people are experts in a diverse range of industries including automotive, aerospace, infrastructure, print, packaging, FMCG, metals and many more.
Position
Role Responsibilities:
Working in an industrial / commercial environment
Operating on your own, with teams of other Electricians or with the support of an Electrical Improver
Assisting electrically with the assembly, dismantling of machine tools, conveyor systems, mechanical handling equipment and process/production line equipment
Carrying out installations of cable trays, trunking to layout drawings
Pulling in and removing new and existing cables
Match marking as part of the removal and reinstallation of electrical equipment
Undertaking fault finding where required
Working to Lock out procedures
Presenting Toolbox Talks, undertaking Point of Work Risk Assessments and RAMS updates/ modifications and presenting them to the team as required
Maintaining necessary site documentation
Requirements
Essential:
Qualified Electrician status; ability to work without supervision
Industrial/commercial experience
City & Guilds (JIB ECS)
A drivers licence and reliable transport
Ability to travel and work away from home (there may be instances where working away from home may amount to 2 weeks at a time)
Fully flexible regarding working hours and days worked, including weekends, out of hours
Ability to read mechanical/electrical layout drawings
Excellent Health & Safety knowledge and standards
The ability to demonstrate a pragmatic and common sense approach to problem solving
Experience of working within time critical production environments
Desirable:
Experience with electrical test equipment
Other industrial certifications: ie Abrasive wheels/Work at Height
IPAF (Cherry Picker/Scissor lift licence)
