Vocational Tutor

We are seeking a Vocational Tutor to join the team, to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment of Employability and vocational studies.

North-Bristol- home based and then travel around North Bristol - all mileage covered

GBP24,325 to GBP28,625 per annum

Location: Flexible (Remote working)
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities

Delivering short courses via a blended learning approach, helping to achieve level 2

We are seeking someone with Tutor or assessing experience in delivering either one of these subjects Warehouse, Catering, Retail, Customer Services, Construction)

Manage the induction and training of learners

Coach, guide, and support learners in the effective achievement of their Vocational individual learning programme

Progression planning in a classroom or work-based environment

Interpret initial assessments and diagnostics to assess learners capability, suitability, and their engagement to ensure achievements are met

Dealing with retention and achievement targets

Negotiate, design, and implement individual learning plan with each learner

Monitor, review and evaluate and adjust individual learning plans

Liaise with relevant stakeholders to prepare and support employer led schemes of work and schemes assessment

Support transition activities for learners moving to apprenticeships or onto further education

Monitor and review programme activity and standards to ensure funding and awarding organisation guidelines are met and comprehensive records of participation and outcomes are kept

Must have either a CertEd or PGCE or PTLLS or equivalent

Ideally Functional Skills in Maths and English (not essential)
