My client a market leading supplier to the printing industry - Are looking for a new team member -
They are looking for hard-working, enthusiastic and reliable individuals with a strong work ethic to run slitting rewinding machines in their factory in North Watford . This role suits practically minded individuals who can work safely on their own initiative, yet have the ability to work well within a dedicated, customer focused team.
Role Responsibilities
Loading and unloading slitting & rewinding machines
Setting and running machines including (but not limited to) cutting blades, tension & brake settings
Inspecting product for quality while running and adjusting as necessary
Unloading and cleaning and labelling of prepared rolls for customer orders
Completing production order confirmations using SAP computer system
Regular cleaning of machines and maintaining good housekeeping standards
Use of reach trucks and roll lifting equipment where necessary
Additional tasks as required by the Factory Manager
Requirements
Ability to work safely in a busy factory environment
Machine operating experience preferred, but not essential
Accuracy, reliability and flexibility
Enthusiastic 'cando attitude
A willingness to learn and be part of a dedicated, customer focused team
Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
Manual dexterity
Offer flexibility to the role, with the ability to turn your hand to a number of tasks
Good level of English language and numeracy
Basic IT skills
Good colour perception
Some of the prepared work may be heavy, so a reasonable level of fitness and compliance with manual handling guidance is required.
Once trained this role may turn to shift work - doubles days and a shift allowance will be paid - Shift Pattern Below
WEEK 1 6.00am - 2.00pm
WEEK 2 1.45pm -9.45pm
