Application Developer (C#, .Net, PL/SQL, Kubernetes)

A well-known and respected Edinburgh based Investment Management client is currently seeking an experienced Application Developer to join their team.

Joining them on a 6-month initial contract, the role must be engaged via umbrella company. 1-2 days per week in the Edinburgh based office will be expected.

The team are responsible for custom and packaged software development, and they work primarily with Oracle and SQL databases on various programmes that are essential to the Client's business. The team are working on several modernisation and system replacement projects which you may be involved in.

Essential skills include:
*Experience with C#, specifically .NET Core and .NET Framework
*Experience working with containerisation (Docker) and Kubernetes
*Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
*Strong skills in Oracle PL/SQL
*RESTful services
*Experience in web technologies
*Experience in design and architecture
*Experience of version control systems (Git or similar) and understanding of branching workflows.
*Experience and knowledge of Agile methodologies

Experience with any of the following would be a bonus but are not essential:
*Experience with Microsoft Azure (or similar Cloud platforms)
*Experience with Azure DevOps (or similar CI/CD platforms)
*Experience with .NET Winforms
*Experience with reporting tools like SSRS or Tableau
*Industry specific experience or knowledge, eg, investments or asset management
