WEB DEVELOPER - IT - INSURANCE
Our client, a Times Top 30 major UK insurer, is looking for a Web Developer. You'll join a team of existing designers, web developers and application developers, getting involved in business-wide projects which have where your work will make a huge impact on millions of customers. Working on a range of static, CMS-based sites, web applications, mobile sites and application portals, you will be highly skilled in front-end development but must have had exposure to back-end code (for C#, Asp.Net MVC and SQL).

Competitive Salary and benefits package, based on experience
Location: Must be commutable twice a week to one of the following sites: Tunbridge Wells, Kent; Chesterfield, Derbyshire; or Portsmouth, Hampshire
Key tasks will include but not limited to:
Develop and maintain web sites ranging from simple brochure sites to highly transactional web applications including mobile and tablet capable site design and application development.
The ideal candidate:
Ability to create cross browser compatible websites using W3C standards with front end development experience including HTML5, CSS3, JQuery/JavaScript.
Experience of mobile site development and responsive layouts including frameworks such as Bootstrap 4 would be expected for a suitable candidate.
Knowledge of Umbraco or other CMS would be valuable.
Exposure to server-side development with a preference for C#, Asp.Net MVC and SQL Server with would be highly advantageous
You would ideally have day-to-day familiarity of developer toolsets including Git source control with Visual Studio Team Services and JIRA project tracking software for user stories and defect tracking.
Knowledge of DevOps principles and deployment automation including TeamCity, OctoDeploy and PowerShell would be ideal
