Based in the Coventry area my client is looking for a shiny new Firmware Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to develop new consumer electronic products for a global household brand.
Day to day Responsibilities of the successful Firmware Engineer:
Develop Firmware for embedded systems and products that utilise wireless or wired communications, sensors and control modules.
Translating product requirements into functional firmware.
Coding in C/C+ from scratch on bare-metal platforms.
Working alongside multidisciplinary teams to take new products through full lifecycle development.
Develop and test working prototypes using test rigs to prove out technology.I'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following as Firmware Engineer:
Commercial experience as Firmware Engineer or Embedded Software Engineer from a regulated industry.
Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MEng, BEng or BSc Electronics Engineering, Software Engineer, Control Systems.
Ability to code from scratch onto baremetal using C.
Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS/embOS.In return the successful Firmware Engineer will receive an excellent benefits package which includes:
