Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

The Company:
Dynament are a manufacturer of gas sensors for OEM of gas monitoring and detection products. The position will sit under a new passionate Technical Director, as part of a newly growing new product development team.
You will oversee and improve manufacturing processes within the facility and cover all product lines. The manufacturing engineer's responsibilities will include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new products and processes, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.
Salary of a Manufacturing Engineer
Circa GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 with relocation packages if necessary.
Job Description of a Manufacturing Engineer
Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements.
Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and products.
Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports.
Identify opportunities for cost reductions and quality improvements in our products.
Work with the Development team to create drawings, specifications, BOM s as required for development and production.
Manage part selection, schematic capture and PCB layout following design & development procedures.
Arrange and manage verification and validation tests.
Skills & experience of a Manufacturing Engineer
Degree or HNC with relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
Experience of PCB and electronic manufacturing is essential.
Enthusiastic engineer with a passion for robotics and tinkering.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred.
Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
Experience using CAD, CAM, SolidWorks, data analysis programs, and related software.
