We are looking to recruit a ShipSure Insights Integration Lead (Shipboard IOT), who will act as Team Leader / Focal point for Shipboard IOT integration.
You will Design and Lead the full integration between vessel systems and onshore technology solutions, to meet our customers expectations.
Leading ShipSure s ongoing and future work programs relating to the integration of the Shipboard IOT infrastructure into core ShipSure functionality.
Identify possible integration opportunities and assess their functionality for potential adoption as part of ShipSure.
Organise and lead (if required) field testing of identified Shipboard Integration opportunities - ensuing appropriate onboard adoption processed to maximise operational benefits.
Aid in the development and realization of Big Data opportunities within the ShipSure marine database - assisting in the drive to provide Realtime data driven decision making to our clients by providing SME knowledge and guidance to the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert advice and guidance in the development and adoption of Shipboard IOT opportunities - and how these may increase the ShipSure offering and associated business opportunities.
Provide guidance and advice to the Data Science Team as required.
Investigate & Identify partner companies that can / could contribute to increasing the ShipSure Shipboard IOT offering.
Working with the Data Science Team, mine and analyse data from within our various ShipSure databases to support the development and optimization of analytics capabilities within the Performance Services.
Work with both internal and external key stakeholders to identify potential opportunities for the leveraging of Shipboard IOT benefits across Ship Management.
Working with Lead - Performance Services develop integrated Performance Solutions maximizing benefits from automated data capture.
To identify energy saving and performance optimization opportunities.
To understand the opportunities available for cost reductions and their associated return on investment.
Support and lead the various work streams as required.

The right Candidate:
An experienced commercial biased software development manager, capable of working with internal direct reports, program managers and external contractors.
Outcome focused individual who can demonstrate the ability to work in an high agile environment, not just form the software engineering aspect but with a rapidly changing business environment.
Minimum qualification of a BSc. in a Marine related field.
Previous experience of vessel operations.
Practical onboard vessel operations experience would be an advantage.
A good understanding of benefit measurement, data collection and management will be a strong advantage.
Interest in vessel performance and drive to realise optimisation benefits.
Ability to be self motivate for planning and executing tasks and projects.
Willing to travel in support of business requirements.
