We currently require numerous experienced Warehouse/Logistics Operatives to join an established manufacturer based in Plymouth at a time of continued growth. Successful candidates will be required to work in a fast paced environment, providing general warehouse support to the manufacturing function. These are temporary to permanent opportunities for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and aptitude to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
To receive/collect from production all manufactured parts when notified they are complete.
To check all parts conform to the Bill of Material (BOM) as described and is complete.
To check that the parts are in good condition when received.
To move parts, where practical, to a defined storage location.
To issue parts to Despatch upon formal request through the despatch system.
Picking of parts from stores to feed assembly lines for manufacture of completed product.
To update the Stock Control System, identifying parts are waiting in despatch for preparation to despatch.
To prepare parts for despatch, protecting parts appropriately for the transport required.
To assist in loading vehicles for parts to be despatched.
To support the movement of all parts internally between business units.
To maintain a tidy and organised storage area.
To ensure all parts stored are securely where necessary.
Essential Experience, Skills and Candidate Attributes Required:
Minimum of one year s recent experience working as a Logistics or Warehouse Operator within a fast paced environment.
A flexible and approachable attitude.
Some experience having used computer based warehouse systems.
Working hours will comprise of shifts such as the following
Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 07:00am to 17:00pm -
